Training in Spartan Gym

Recreational

Fantastic squad and an amazing positive training atmosphere are the most important attributes of our recreational groups, which are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The groups are mixed (men and women train together) and they teach the basics of Muay Thai and kickboxing. It is designed for everyone from 18 to 50 years of age and more; everyone who wants to become a better version of themselves – beginners and experienced martial artists alike.

Muay Thai and kickboxing trainings are the best choice for everyone who wants to blow off some steam and get rid of stress, lose excess weight, get fit and lean, as well as improve their mindset and make their lives better. If you have never done any form of martial arts, do not worry – we will teach you everything you need to know; you will learn the basics quickly and then build on that knowledge in training with the rest of the group.

Also, in the beginning, until you settle in and get fit, you will work at your own pace, as fast and as strong as you can. Our coaches will keep an eye on your improvement and slowly increase the speed and intensity of your training according to your abilities.

Everyone from the recreational group who is interested in sparring can do it on Fridays in the second group that starts at 7:15 pm.

EQUIPMENT

If you have just started training, it is enough that you have comfortable workout clothes (shorts, tracksuit, leggings, shirt). We train barefoot or wearing socks.

Later: hand wraps, boxing gloves (at least 12 oz) and shin protectors (it’s possible to buy/order them at the club). You should also have a towel and a bottle of water at each training session.

Additional sparring equipment: boxing gloves (14 oz), mouth guard, suspensor and a boxing helmet
